6月份澳门赌场收入同比增长12.2%

　　根据澳门博彩监察协调局(Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau)公布了澳门赌场的总收入的最新数据。

　　赌场的收入总额达233.34亿澳门币，较去年同期增长12.2％，从5月份相比反弹7.3％，但与前几年相比，仍然是一个非常缓慢的增长速度。在上上月的基础上，收入下降11％左右，虽然这可能在很大程度上受季节性的影响。总体而言，在赌场收入的增长势头已经停滞在过去的几个月。

　　但是，我们也注意到，在中国信用卡银联实行信贷紧缩的同时，广东签证收紧成为焦点。尤其是发生在金融危机期间，签证限制可以解释在2008-2009年的赌场收入的下降的部分原因。

　　The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau published the latest figures for the gross revenue from Macau’s casinos.

　　Gross casino revenue amounted to MOP23.334 billion, an increase of 12.2% from a year earlier, a decent rebound from 7.3% yoy in May, but still a pretty slow growth rate compared to the previous few years. On a month-on-month basis, revenue fell by about 11%, although this could largely be explained by seasonality. Overall, the growth momentum in casino revenue has already stalled in the past few months.

　　The chart below shows the year-on-year growth in Macau gaming revenue with China’s GDP. We started looking at Macau casino revenues as a possibly proxy for China’s economic growth earlier, as the chart below shows that they track each other well.

　　We do note, however that there are concerns on Guangdong tightening visa, while UnionPay, a credit card in China, is tightening credit. The visa restrictions, in particular, happened in the previous slowdown during the financial crisis, which partly explain the fall of casino revenue in 2008-2009.
