Online gaming company BETSSON issued 2012 gaming income statements
Online gaming company Betsson just published its Q4 2012 and full 2012 financial performance report revealing a substantial increase in revenues and player deposits.
Betsson just published its 2012 financial performance report revealing that in Q4 2012 the venture managed to generate SEK 651.9 million, which constitutes an increase of 27% compared to the results achieved in the fourth quarter of 2011.
The total income generated by the company in 2012 was of SEK 2,203.7 million which represents an increase of 23% compared to 2011. The venture's 2012 net income was of SEK 547.8 million which is a slight increase compared to the SEK 527.8 million generated in 2011.
The report also revealed that the total amount of customer deposits in 2012 was of SEK 2,154.8 million which represents an extremely large increase of 45% compared to the total customer deposits recorded in the year before.
In 2012 the company also achieved a very high sportsbook turnover of SEK 3,782.8 which represented an increase of 74% compared to the results achieved in 2011. This sum also includes the revenues generated by the recently acquired Nordic Gaming Group which was of SEK 575.1 million.
These results were achieved despite the fact that the company invested a substantial amount of money in the Asian online gaming market. At this moment this investment did not yet pay off but due to the rapid growth of the Asian online gaming market it's expected to generate handsome profits for the company in the future.
Betsson CEO Magnus Silfverberg commented the following:"The strong organic growth of 23 percent in revenues, 30 percent in Sportsbook turnover and more than 100 percent in mobile revenues from last quarter, shows that Betsson is on the right track. Betsson's growth is built on historical investments, and the company continues to invest large amounts in marketing and technology, which intends to secure a future growth rate above that of the market growth."
Betsson is one of the largest online gaming operators in Northern Europe. At this moment the company is mainly present in Scandinavian markets but recently it began investing in various regulated European markets and the emerging Asian market as well.
