民众支持美国体育博彩和网上赌场游戏合法化腾升

　　A new study conducted by the Fairleigh Dickinson University revealed that more than half of US citizens agree with the legalization of sports betting on a federal level. About third of the population supports legal online casinos and the numbers are rising.

　　A telephone poll conducted by the Fairleigh Dickinson University revealed that 51% of the questioned citizens believe that sports betting should become legal and be available in every US state. However, only about 27% of the questioned people think that online casino games and online poker should become legal.

　　The poll also revealed that every five American male has at least once placed a bet on a sports event. Male respondents were also the largest group that indicated that sports betting should become legal in the United States.

　　The results of the poll indicate that the percentage of citizens supporting legal sports betting has considerably increased during the past three years. Three years ago a similar study revealed that only 39% of the United States population supported legalized sports betting.

　　Despite the rising popularity of legal sports betting, online casino and poker, none of these practices are legal in the United States. At this moment only some states such as Nevada and New Jersey have dared to legalize online poker and real money online gaming.

　　However, this might change in the future as soon as enough citizens will agree with the legalization of these practices. The conclusion that can be drawn from this and other similar polls is that at some point in the future a significant majority of US citizens might agree with the legalization of real money online casino gaming.

　　Once that happens it's very likely that this practice will become legal. At this moment most politicians don't dare to support legal online poker and online casino games believing that by doing so they would lose popularity. Sometimes in the future it might actually be the other way around.
